Great Clips opens 150th Canadian franchise in Fort Saskatchewan

Canadian Business Franchise | December 15, 2017

Hair salon franchisor Great Clips has opened its 150th Canadian location in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. This is the city’s second franchise owned by franchisee Yasir Saeed.

“I had explored other franchise options, but all they wanted to know about me was my bank account,” he says. “Great Clips wanted to know about me as a person. I’m especially proud to open the 150th salon in Canada in the same year as Canada’s 150th birthday.”

“We encourage our franchisees to be active community members,” says Rob Goggins, chief operating officer (COO) at Great Clips. “They give back in a number of ways, from supporting fundraising efforts like Movember to offering free clipper cuts to cancer patients facing hair loss to helping families displaced by the Fort McMurray fires. Our franchisees’ community spirit has been the key to our success and I have every confidence Yasir will carry on this tradition in Fort Saskatchewan.”
